Circular Economy Specialist in the Mobility Sector

Your mission

We are looking to recruit a person to join our Technologies area. The successful candidate will become part of a large multidisciplinary team of technologists, with the aim of providing advice on the technical aspects applicable to the business needs of companies in the plastics sector.

What will your day-to-day work involve?

  • Carrying out R&D&I projects. Participating in projects — preparation and execution — as a member of research groups or as Principal Investigator in the fields of Circular Economy and Sustainable Mobility:

    • Identification of project ideas, either internally generated or proposed by clients.

    • Preparation of project proposals.

    • Execution and coordination of projects.

    • Execution of projects in the pilot plant.

    • Preparation of project reports.

    • Attendance at forums.

  • Advisory support for companies.
  • Direct interaction with clients.
  • Teaching, training, informational and dissemination activities.
  • Organisation of conferences and seminars.

Your profile

Strong analytical skills, organisation, planning, initiative, creativity, leadership, flexibility, adaptability to change, customer orientation, teamwork and a people-focused approach — cooperation and empathy — are qualities we look for in every position at AIMPLAS.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemical, Industrial or Materials Engineering.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Chemistry.

  • Preferably, a Master’s degree in Polymer and Composite Materials Technologies or in Waste Management.

Additional training:

Additional training in ISO standards related to environmental management, regulations, environmental impacts, waste management and certifications.

Experience:

Experience related to waste management and experience in matters related to compliance with technical legislation in the automotive sector, environmental legislation or related topics or sectors.

Knowledge of the following concepts:

  • Ecodesign.

  • Traceability.

  • Certifications in the plastics sector.

  • Environmental impacts.

  • Circular economy.

  • Reuse.

  • Recyclability.

  • Composite materials.

  • Plastics transformation processes.

Other requirements:

  • Demonstrable high level of English. Fluent level of Spanish. Other languages will be valued.

  • Availability to travel.

  • Driving licence.
