Chemical Pilot Plant and Laboratory Assistant

Your mission

We are looking to recruit a person to carry out experimental testing in a pilot plant and/or laboratory, providing support to the different departments within the Technologies area.

What will your day-to-day work involve?

  • Preparation of tests in reactors.
  • Experimental set-ups in laboratories and chemical pilot plants.
  • Assembly of polymer materials laboratory equipment and the necessary auxiliary equipment.
  • Process control in pilot plant and laboratory equipment.
  • Carrying out tests and recording and documenting them.
  • General maintenance of the equipment under their responsibility.
  • Carrying out experimental work for services and projects.
  • Support for researchers.

Strong analytical skills, organisation, planning, initiative, creativity, flexibility, adaptability to change, customer orientation, leadership skills, teamwork and a people-focused approach — cooperation and empathy — are qualities we look for in every position at AIMPLAS.

Required qualifications:

Vocational Training Certificate — Intermediate or Higher Level — in Industrial Chemistry, Analysis and Quality Control Laboratory, Manufacture of Pharmaceutical, Biotechnological and Related Products, or similar.

Experience in:

  • Experience as a process and synthesis assistant in the polymer materials sector.

  • Knowledge of polymer materials processing.

  • Working with reactors.

Other requirements:

  • Demonstrable intermediate/high level of English.
  • B1 driving licence and experience operating forklift trucks.
  • Availability for occasional travel within Spain.
  • User-level knowledge of office software.
