R&D&I Specialist in Digital Industry

Your mission

We are looking to hire a person to develop and execute R&D&i projects in the field of advanced data analysis and the development of predictive models related to plastic materials and their transformation processes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Analyze production processes and propose digital solutions for their optimization, based on Artificial Intelligence, digital twins, etc.

  • Develop predictive models for material properties and processing, from data capture to delivering solutions to end users.

  • Prepare offers and work proposals.

  • Prepare R&D&I project proposals in line with institutional templates.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with different departments at AIMPLAS.

  • Conduct state-of-the-art reports.

  • Carry out technical developments.

  • Analyze results and write conclusions and reports.

  • Present results.

  • Visit clients to develop business opportunities through consultative selling.

  • Participate in dissemination, technology foresight, outreach, and communication activities.

  • Deliver training courses related to this field of knowledge.


Your profile

A high level of analytical ability, organisation, planning, initiative, creativity, flexibility, adaptability to change, customer orientation, leadership skills, teamwork, and a people-focussed mindset (cooperation and empathy) are qualities we seek in every position at AIMPLAS.

Required Education:

Higher university education, preferably in:

  • Data Science

  • Computer Science

  • Industrial Engineering

  • Telecommunications

  • Information Technology

  • Industrial Automation and Robotics

  • Digital and Multimedia Technology

  • Or similar fields

Professional knowledge of:

  • Python, R, SQL, NoSQL, Fabric

  • AI and data analysis tools (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Matplotlib, Seaborn)

  • Industrial environment solutions: AVEVA, Siemens MindSphere, Ignition, or similar

  • High level of English and Spanish

Additional Education (Preferred):

  • Master’s degree specializing in AI, Big Data, Industry 4.0, or Blockchain

Required Experience:

  • Creation and management of databases

  • Data analysis and predictive modeling

  • Product and industrial process digitization

  • Automation, robotics, and control and communication electronics

  • Proficiency with Python, R, SQL, and AI/data analysis tools (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.)

  • Experience in public funding projects and client interaction is a plus

Availability for national and international travel.
Valid B1 driving license.
