We are looking for a person to join the Chemical Recycling section of the Technologies area. The person specialized in thermal processes and in the field of solvolysis will develop functions such as:
Continuous update of the state of the art of thermal/chemical recycling technologies.
Technical preparation of thermal/chemical recycling R&D projects.
Technical development of thermal/chemical recycling R&D&I projects.
Delivery of open and tailor-made courses related to the subject.
Participate in scientific dissemination, technology foresight, divulgation and communication activities.
Attendance and participation in seminars and congresses.
High analytical skills, organization, planning, initiative, creativity, flexibility, adaptation to changes, customer orientation, leadership skills, teamwork and vocation for people (cooperation and empathy) are elements that we look for in any position in AIMPLAS.
The person specialized in thermal processes must demonstrate 2 years of experience in thermal processes (pyrolysis, gasification, etc.) and in distillation processes. Experience in anaerobic degradation, separation processes and chemical analysis will be an additional asset.
2 years of experience in chemical recycling of polymers and other organic products. Experience in chemical analysis, solvent handling and chemical reaction development would be an additional asset.
Knowledge in the following topics: thermal treatments of polymers and chemical products. Pyrolysis of waste, waste gasification, fractional distillation. Design of experiments, chemical recycling in general, use of reactors at high temperature and pressure.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Knowledge in plastic materials would be an asset.
